Oklahoma Bar Association is celebrating Law Day

Miami Beach Bar Association
The Oklahoma Bar Association is sponsoring several events including:

  • "Ask A Lawyer" TV show – featuring segments this year on consumer law and civil rights in the workplace – this award-winning show is set to air for the 31st year on OETA (Oklahoma's PBS station) Thursday, April 30 from 7 – 8 p.m.
  • Ask A Lawyer Day – April 30 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. – several hundred lawyers across the state will staff a toll-free phone bank and provide answers to callers’ legal questions on a variety of topics.
  • County bar events – the OBA works with the county bars in each of the 77 counties in our state to offer Law Day activities – from CLE luncheons, to blood drives, to golf tournaments.
  • Art, writing and video contests for students in pre-k through high school – including a YouTube category new this year. More than 2,200 students entered this year's contests.
  • Online activities aimed at high school students – including information and a quiz over rights and responsibilities after turning 18 and an online citizenship test taken directly from the U.S. citizenship test
