Nevada is celebrating Law Day

Clark County Law Foundation and the Clark County Bar Association
Law Day Activities in the Las Vegas Valley: Dialogue with Clark County Students and Presentation of Liberty Bell Award

The Clark County Law Foundation and the Clark County Bar Association (CCBA) are pleased to announce this year's Law Day activities. In honor of this national event, CCBA will be participating in two different ways: first by encouraging attorneys and judges to speak to local high school classes and second by presenting the Liberty Bell Award to a deserving individual. Historically Law Day is observed on May 1; however, this year the bar will observe activities on both May 1 and 14.

DIALOGUE WITH CLARK COUNTY STUDENTS. On Friday, May 1, 2009, attorneys and judges will volunteer in the American Bar Association formatted program "A Legacy of Liberty: Celebrating Lincoln's Bicentennial." For more information on this event, contact Marcia Ellis at the State Bar of Nevada at (702) 317-1408 or email.

LIBERTY BELL AWARD PRESENTATION. On Thursday, May 14, 2009, the CCLF's Community Service Committee will present the Liberty Bell Award to a deserving individual during the CCBA luncheon. The name of the winner will not be released prior to the event. The luncheon will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Morton's The Steakhouse, 400 E. Flamingo Rd., Las Vegas. For more information or to register for the luncheon, contact CCBA at (702) 387-6011 or visit www.clarkcountybar.org.
