Experiencia, Inc. is celebrating Law Day 2008
CHICAGO – In honor of the 50th anniversary of Law Day, Experiencia, Inc. is pleased to announce Justice Anne Burke of the Supreme Court of Illinois and Attorney General Lisa Madigan as co-chairs for Experiencia's second annual Law Day Program entitled "LEX." As part of "LEX," Experiencia's Chairman, Howard A. Tullman, Justice Burke and Attorney General Madigan are asking area law firms to help sponsor neighborhood Schools so that they may participate in Experiencia's Exchange City Immersive Learning Program.
The "LEX" Program seeks area law firms and individual lawyers to contribute scholarship funding for the participation of students at Exchange City – a government, economics, math, social studies and entrepreneurial studies program available to all schools throughout Chicagoland. The “LEX” Program offers a relevent and meaningful way the law firms can assist 5th and 6th graders in participating in the Exchange City Program while they learn the signifcant issues of juvenile justice, government and civic studies.
During their much anticipated culminating visit to Exchange City, students manage and apply important concepts and skills as they are challenged by real-life business and governmental issues. They run their own LaSalle Bank branch, publish their own newspaper, maintain retail shops with consumer services and products, learn about supply and demand, write resumes and deliver the mail. The students even film their own WTTW TV broadcasts and create a DVD of the day’s events.
For more information about participating in the Experiencia Law Day LEX Program, please contact Hanna Selinger at 312.733.5400. More information about Experiencia is available at www.experiencia-world.com.
