Atlanta lawyers are celebrating Law Day.
Atlanta lawyers will continue the tradition of celebrating Law Day in a unique way at the 2008 Cascade United Methodist Church Law Day Worship Service. Guest speaker will be The Hon. Thelma Wyatt Cummings Moore, Judge, Superior Court of Fulton County.

It is free and open to the public. The service is supported by the Gate City Bar Association, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, Georgia Alliance of African American Attorneys and National Bar Association.

Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany are celebrating Law Day.
The Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) office at Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, Georgia will be participating in Law Day by speaking to area high school students.

Georgia is celebrating Law Day.
A Ceremony at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta on May 1 kicks off a month of events by metro Atlanta courts and bar associations.
The Law Day Ceremony includes a Youth Forum where youth leaders meet with judicial and law enforcement officials to raise concerns and issues facing young people.
Winners of an elementary school Poster Contest and high school Video Contest to best depict this year’s Law Week theme will be recognized at the Ceremony.
Also at the Ceremony, The Atlanta Bar Association will present the annual City of Atlanta Peace Officer Award, the Fulton County Court Employee of the Year Award and the Liberty Bell Award.
During May Fulton County (Atlanta) courts will hold four evening Town Hall meetings where judges and court officials will discuss the justice system and programs to enhance access to justice.
All potential jurors will be shown, The Faces of Justice, a new video in which Superior Court Judges talk about their duties and the court programs they have created to improve the administration of justice.
Lawyer and judge volunteers will conduct programs on the Law Day theme in area elementary, middle and high schools, neighborhood groups and civic clubs.
Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers will assist citizens with drafting living wills and other estate planning documents.
The Fulton County Law Library will host an open house for courthouse guests.
