FAQs and Web Resources on the Impeachment Process
One of the primary goals of the American Bar Association is to foster public understanding of the law and the legal process. To that end, the ABA, through its Division for Public Education, has constructed this site to inform the general public about the impeachment process and related procedures and institutions, such as the Office of Independent Counsel and the federal grand jury. It is organized in a question-and-answer format under the following three headings:
- Impeachment: A Look at the Process
- Background: the Office of the Independent Counsel
- Background: Grand Juries
Our site also includes hypertext links to selected resources available on the Web for each of these topic areas. To help guide you to the information you are looking for, we have annotated many of the links.
We hope you find the site useful and informative. We welcome your feedback, comments, and suggestions for improving our site. Contact abapubed@abanet.org
