venire - The panel of citizens called for jury service from
which a jury will be selected.
venue - The particular county, city or geographical area in
which a court with jurisdiction may hear and determine a case.
verdict - Formal decision made by a jury, read before a
court, and accepted by the judge.
voir dire - To speak the truth. Process in which prospective
jurors are questioned to determine whether they can perform their duties in an impartial
manner.
