The Call for Presentations is now closed. Thanks to everyone who submitted a proposal! If you missed the deadline to submit a proposal, but would like to send topic suggestions, e-mail johnsonc@staff.abanet.org. We will post the list of confirmed presenters and their workshop sessions shortly. The final conference agenda will be posted a few weeks prior to the conference.
About the Workshops
Workshops will be organized by four areas. These are:
- Separation of Powers: Principles and Conflicts
- Youth at Risk and Juvenile Justice
- LRE Across the Curriculum
- Civic Engagement
There will be three workshop sessions. Each session will be 75 minutes in duration. Workshops will be scheduled in the morning and afternoon of Friday, January 27, and the morning of Saturday, January 28, 2006. Workshop formats may vary, and will ideally combine individual presentations with group discussions and interactive exercises, as appropriate, and leave sufficient time for wrap-up and Q&A. Creative, innovative, and diverse approaches to these topics are encouraged.
Primary presenters are responsible for:
- Planning the agenda
- Securing two to three other panelists who should represent a breadth of perspectives on a given topic
- Moderating their panel

- Be submitted by the "primary presenter" of the session
