The Law and Liberal Arts Faculty Network
The American Bar Association Division for Public Education promotes and facilitates
education about law, the legal system, and the role of law in society among college and
university students, with special emphasis on undergraduates.
The following programs and resources are available:
Biennial Conferences
In alternate years, the Division holds a higher education conference, inviting faculty
from the social sciences, humanities, law and legal studies, public policy, and other
fields, to examine a particular topic of law and the liberal arts (e.g., family law, law
and science, religion and law). Combining sessions presented by expert scholars in the
field, speakers' panels on general themes, and small group discussions on applications for
classroom teaching, the conferences provide faculty with a unique chance to encounter new
colleagues, concepts, and resources.
