This
guide is designed to introduce parents and teachers of young
children (preschool through sixth grade) to the many resources
available online that
- Help adults talk to young children about the September 11 terrorist attacks, violent images they may see on the news, or other traumatic events.
- Introduce children to stories of important people and events in American history and develop and understanding of American institutions and traditions.
- Offer age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to teachers and parents seeking to help young children process and comprehend some of the issues America is facing after September 11.
