Since its inaugural
edition, NAWL has distributed the Directory to thousands of in-house
counsel throughout the United States. Recipients include members
of the American Corporate Counsel Association (ACCA) and the National
Association of Law Placement (NALP). Lawyers and firms listing in
the Directory have reported favorable response from corporate clients
as a result of their listings, and in turn, NAWL members and others
have benefited from the addition of web site links from the NAWL
Directory website to each of our sponsors’ web sites.
NAWL also distributes
copies of the Directory at its midyear and annual meetings, held
concurrently with the meetings of the American Bar Association.
Additionally, the Directory is provided to attendees of programs
co-sponsored by NAWL, including those presented by the National
Conference of Women’s Bar Associations, state and regional women’s
bar associations, and specialty bar groups.

Corporate Counsel
The National Association of Women Lawyers is a voluntary legal professional organization devoted to the interests of women lawyers and the promotion of women’s rights. The National Directory of Women-Owned Law Firms and Women Lawyers helps fulfill NAWL’s mission of supporting women lawyers by connecting them to each other and to potential clients, including in-house counsel. An invaluable legal resource for in-house counsel, the Directory allows clients to easily find the right woman lawyer for the job – and gives women lawyers the opportunity to present themselves to a wider array of potential clients. The Directory is distributed at no cost to in-house counsel.
