Congratulations to S. Tony Ling on his election to partnership at Jenner & Block in Chicago.

The Asian American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Cook County Bar Association, the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, and the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association have selected Andrea Buford, Justice David Cerda, Justice William Cousins, and Hon. Sandra Otaka as recipients of this year’s Vanguard Awards.

Mel Martinez has joined the Orlando, FL office of Akerman Senterfitt. Mel is the former secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

Victor C. Chang is one of 28 new partners in the litigation group at Jones Day. Congratulations.

Arturo Jessel has joined Greenberg Traurig’s global trade practice group in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Adrienne Banks Pitts has been elected to partnership with Winston & Strawn in Chicago.

Renu Gupta has been appointed special counsel with the environmental law group at Baker Botts in Houston.

Jackie Kim Park, along with four other partners from Pillsbury Winthrop has joined Piper Rudnick in Los Angeles as a partner in the firm’s real estate practice group.

Congratulations to Nancy Chung on becoming a partner in the New York office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.

Enrique Gonzalez III was elected to partnership at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen, & Loewy in Santa Clara, CA. Congratulations!

Coudert Brothers has appointed Janet Hernandez to head the global telecommunications and technology practice group. She will be based in the Washington, D.C. office.

Steve Cho has been elevated to partner in the Palo Alto, CA office of Townsend and Townsend and Crew. Congratulations!

Naoko Fujii has joined Scios, Inc., a biotech subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, Fremont, CA as a food and drug regulatory attorney.
