Hernandez has a broad transactional practice that includes extensive
experience in aircraft finance, leasing and other transactions;
cross-border financings, investments and joint ventures; and
the formation and governance of non-profit corporations. Mr. Hernandez represents airlines and other companies in financings, leasing (dry and wet), acquisitions and dispositions of commercial and executive aircraft (U.S. and foreign registered) and aircraft engines, and leasing of air terminal facilities. Mr. Hernandez has represented U.S. and foreign companies and government financing agencies in cross-border and domestic secured debt financings, asset and stock acquisitions and dispositions, and joint ventures, and has advised U.S. and Latin American companies in connection with in-bound and out-bound market expansions. Mr. Hernandez has negotiated sophisticated dollar- and euro-denominated secured revolving and term credit facilities involving interest-rate swaps, currency conversions, multiple lender financing arrangements, offshore special purpose holding companies, multi-tiered domestic and offshore holding company structures, and U.S. government-backed loan guarantees from the Export-Import Bank of the United States and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. Mr. Hernandez also counsels clients in the formation and governance of non-profit corporations. |
