Before joining the legal profession, Eduardo worked as an electrical engineer: Two years as an undergraduate (co-op) engineer at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station and Dover Elevator Systems; and Three years as an Edison engineer at General Electric Aerospace Electronics. At GE, he designed computer simulations, control software, and digital hardware for an adaptive-array radar and developed infrared-targeting algorithms for the U.S. Strategic Defense Initiative.

Eduardo is an active member of the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Assocation, serving in the past as Chairman of its Small Business Committee and currently as Chairman of its Publication Committee.

Additionally, Eduardo is a co-author of Intellectual Property Law for Business Lawyers, published by West Publishing Company, as well as a chapter in Electronic and Software Patents: Law and Practice, published by BNA Books

Eduardo has practiced at Schwegman, Lundberg, a 50-attorney patent boutique, for over five years and became a sharehoder in 2002. In 2003, Schwegman, Lundberg earned #1 national rankings for its patent work in computer, biotech, and medical technologies. The firm also earned a #2 ranking for its electrical patents and #3 for its chemical patents.
