| Professional Background: | John Chen practices in the areas of environmental, insurance, reinsurance, land use and commercial litigation. Mr. Chen has experience in handling trials and appeals in state and federal court, and has conducted hearings before federal and state environmental agencies. He also has experience in land use, zoning and condemnation matters. He has represented clients in the defense of CERCLA private party cost recovery actions. He has tried numerous condemnation and zoning cases, and acted as a Special Assistant Attorney General for The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority, and as counsel for the Illinois Low-Level Radioactive Waste Facilities Siting Commission. He has represented clients in the defense of consumer class action lawsuits. Mr. Chen is a member of the trial bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division. Mr. Chen has presented papers on Superfund Reauthorization and medical waste disposal. |
