New Dues Waiver Program for Pro Bono Work

Have you retired or no longer actively practice law but are engaged in Pro Bono activities? “Second Season of Service,” a major initiative of Immediate Past President Karen Mathis, allows ABA members who are retired or inactive and complete 500 hours of Pro Bono legal services within a calendar year to be eligible for a full waiver of membership dues for the subsequent membership year.

At least 250 of the 500 hours of pro bono work must involve the direct representation of persons of limited means or organizations that provide service to those individuals, service on boards of organizations serving the poor, or serving as non-compensated legal staff for those organizations. A recommended option is participation in an organized pro bono program.

To apply for this great opportunity, please complete the attached form. Or to learn more information, please call our Service Center at 1.800.285.2221
