The American Bar Association will hold its 2006 Annual Meeting in Honolulu Aug. 3 – 8. This year's program brings new technology – including podcasts, video-on-demand, news updates and more – that will allow lawyers not attending in person to experience the meeting with up-to-the-minute news, video releases and information about debate taking place in the House of Delegates.
Via a daily update that will appear on the ABA News Annual Meeting Update Web site, ABA members and others will be able to preview the upcoming key events of the day, including House action, featured programs, speakers and award ceremonies.
Programs that will be available via one's computer include videotape of the opening speeches by President Michael Greco and President-elect Karen Mathis, as well as the Assembly keynote by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy. Programs to be available via podcast include segments of the House of Delegates, Justice Kennedy's speech and President Greco's news conference, among others.
