American Bar Association Section of Litigation Darfur Legal Training Program
The American Bar Association Section of Litigation Darfur Legal Training Program was designed to provide advocacy skills training to Sudanese lawyers to help them represent victims of the genocide in Darfur before international tribunals, including the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
Lawyers, academics and judges from the United States will be sponsoring a week of advocacy skills training Oct. 12-18, at the Millennium Knightsbridge Hotel in London. This is the second year that the Section has sponsored the program. This year, 30 Sudanese lawyers are expected to attend the sessions; last year, nine Sudanese lawyers were able to participate. The sessions will include presentations by representatives of the International Criminal Court and Human Rights Watch.
