The Twilight Zone of Nighttime, Part-time and Weekend Law Schools
BY JANE EASTER BAHLS
Unaccredited night law schools, many of which were started early in this century by local YMCA's, are becoming a thing of the past due to a variety of economic and academic developments. In some cases, however, these schools have adapted and expanded to gain accredited status yet still offer law students flexible schedules that accommodate work and family responsibilities. Increasing numbers of traditional schools are also incorporating new options to broaden the viability of legal studies

The Other Side of the Lectern
BY DI MARI RICKER
Have you ever thought of staying in law school permanently? Not as a student but, as the title suggests, as a professor? Although academia is an area of the law profession that offers only a limited number of openings per year, professors in general extol the benefits and rewards of passing on their education and experience to upcoming generations of lawyers. Perhaps "law school for life" deserves further examination.

Twelve Rules for Successful Associates
BY JOHN A. RAGOSTA
An experienced partner reviews his early years of practice to create a helpful one-the-job training guide from the ordinary events of an associate's days. (And, in doing so, shares one of the best quotes he's ever heard about lawyering: "The quest for partnership is much like a pie-eating contest where the prize is more pie"!)
