The Assembly is the policymaking body of the ABA Law Student Division. Its membership is comprised of two official voting delegates from each of the 197 ABA-approved law schools. One Delegate is the ABA Representative from that school; the other is the law school's SBA President. Delegates must be members of the ABA Law Student Division and their dues must be paid in full for the current year in order to participate in voting activities. (Join the ABA Law Student Division)
The Assembly convenes only once a year (August) at the ABA Annual Meeting when it debates and votes on issues relating to law schools, legal education and the practice of law. Additionally, members of the Assembly elect the Division's three delegates to the ABA House of Delegates.
