A Message from the Governors
Law students from the from the Ohio Valley to the to the tip of Maine are invited to attend the ABA Law Student Division 2009 Fall Regional Leadership Summit, October 2-3, 2009 at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. Join your fellow law students in a substantive discussion of law, leadership, and marketability.
There is no registration fee to attend this meeting yet just look at all the valuable opportunities available to you during the Leadership Summit:
- Learn from practicing attorneys about how to thrive in the legal profession;
- Cultivate your leadership skills through practical approaches and tips from other student leaders and experienced attorneys;
- Learn how law school leaders can effectively set a vision and agenda for the coming year and for law school leaders who will follow; and

The Fall Leadership Summit is designed to bring law school leaders together to exchange ideas and develop camaraderie. You should make plans today to attend this summit if you are:

the Fall Leadership Summit may complete and submit the Roommate Request Form. Contacting potential roommates and agreeing upon arrangements
will be your own responsibility. The ABA Law Student Division does

Advance registration is now closed. You may register on site at the meeting. To register at the meeting, please print out the onsite registration form and have it completed before you arrive in order to expedite the check-in procedure.
On-Site Registration
Meeting registration will open at 8:00am on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Georgetown University Law Center. Attendees should stop at the registration table to sign-in and pick up their badge and a final program. To register at the meeting, please print out the onsite registration form and have it completed before you arrive in order to expedite the check-in procedure.
Making Airline Reservations
The Washington, DC area is served by two airports: Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Dulles International Airport. Depending upon your specific travel needs and your city of origin, some airlines may offer better prices at one location as compared to another. When comparing fares and schedules, Law Student Division members should visit the ABA website for information on the ABA Discounted Meeting Airfares Program. Be sure to indicate that you are attending an "ABA Calendar Meeting" when booking your airfare through Orbitz.
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, commonly known as National Airport, is located in Arlington County, Virginia and is the closest airport to downtown Washington, DC. National Airport is the most convenient of the area airports for visitors staying in the heart of the city. The airport is accessible by Metro. During rush hour, National Airport can be difficult to get to, especially from the suburbs of Maryland and Virginia.

Washington Dulles International Airport is located in Chantilly, Virginia, 26 miles from downtown Washington, DC. Dulles is a major hub for domestic and international air travel. The Airport is currently in the midst of a major construction program to include expansion of Concourse B, a new runway, and an automated people mover. The airport is connected to the region’s highway system via a 16-mile Airport Access Highway dedicated to airport users.
