Calling all law students from DC to Maine! Please join us for a regional leadership summit for law student presidents, executives boards, and aspiring leaders in Cambridge, MA on October 11, 2008. Every Fall, law schools leaders from Washington, DC to Maine get together to share ideas, network with top professionals, and work to bring their efforts from good to great. This year’s theme is just that: From Good to Great. We’ve invited a former state attorney general, state supreme court justices, top professors, and award-winning professionals to share their leadership strategies with us. The Fall Leadership Summit is designed to bring law school leaders together to exchange ideas and develop camaraderie. You should make plans today to attend this summit if you are:

Advance Registration
Advance registration for the Leadership Summit is now closed. If you were unable to register by October 3, and wish to register when you arrive at the meeting, please print out the on-site registration form and be sure to have it completed before you arrive at the Summit in order to expedite the check-in process.
On-Site Registration
Registration for the meeting begins at 8:00am in Pound Hall at Harvard Law School. Meeting attendees should stop at the registration table to sign-in, pickup their badge and a final scheduled of events before proceeding to the meeting room.

The ABA and Setting Policy for the Accreditation of Law Schools
Learn how the policies of the ABA and the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar affect law students on a daily basis. Discuss the issues that the section will address in the coming year and give your input about the hottest issues in legal education. Also, get the inside scoop on the recently approved ABA Resolution 112B (PDF) that now allows law schools to require students to take and pass bar exam prep courses given by the schools prior to graduation.
