Participation is limited to ABA Law Student Division members, except that students from Canadian LSAC-member schools may participate in the Client Counseling Competition for an additional fee.

Our team(s) understand that we will be required to supply each team member's name and his or her ABA member identification number at least two weeks prior to the regional competition in which they compete. Canadian students are exempt from inputting the ABA membership identification number. We agree to abide by this requirement.

Host School Fee
Only schools hosting one of this year’s regional competitions are eligible for the host school rate.

Payment by Check Information
The Law Student Division must receive your check on or before the entry deadline in order to validate this entry form. Checks made payable to the American Bar Association should be mailed to:

Service Charges
The Law Student Division will charge a $50 service charge for each incident identified below:

  • Returned or cancelled checks
  • Declined credit cards
  • Payments received after the stated payment deadline

Cancellation/Refund Policy
All cancellation requests must be made in writing to the Law Student Division's Chicago office at ccc@staff.abanet.org. A $50 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds. There will be no refunds for cancellations made after October 24, 2008.

Intraschool and Regional Competition Problems
Payment must be received before the ABA Law Student Division will distribute the Intraschool Problem to your school.  The Regional Problem will be distributed 10 days prior to your regional competition. The Client Counseling Competition Subcommittee will make every effort to notify schools of their regional assignments by early December.

Informational DVD
To help you prepare for winning this year’s competition, the ABA Law Student Division offers two versions of the 2006-2007 Client Counseling Competition Championship Round DVD. One version captures last year’s National Championship Round in its entirety -- including the judges' evaluations. The second version contains the 2006-2007 National Championship Round and the 2006-2007 Regional and National Problems, including the confidential information for the judges and clients. Your computer must have a DVD drive in order to view and print the competition problems.

General Information
To qualify for entry, schools must furnish all information requested above. The entry fee must be received to validate your school’s entry into the competition. Please send questions via e-mail to ccc@staff.abanet.org or call us at 312/988-5622.

Future Correspondence
All further correspondence will be sent to the designated Contact Person. Confirmation, in the form of the Intraschool Problem, will be sent after your payment has been received, but not before October 1, 2008.
