A Message from Your Circuit Governor
Fellow 4th Circuit Brethren,
My name is Brice Strickland and I am excited to serve as your new ABA Law Student Division 4th Circuit Governor for the 2009-2010 year.
Little bit about me...I am a first-year student at the Charleston School of Law in Charleston, SC. I am the acting Vice President of the SBA and am involved in a number of student organizations at my school. Prior to law school, I attended Emory University where I graduated in 2005. While at Emory, I was a member of the Men's soccer team, Sigma Nu fraternity and was a writer for the school newspaper. Since graduating, I worked as a Marketing & Sales Analyst for Lexus & Toyota North America in Los Angeles and New York City and spent a much needed summer in Hawaii mentally preparing for this journey known as law school...
My two main goals as your governor are: 1) to increase communication between the law schools in the 4th Circuit and 2) educate students as to "real" value as being a member of the ABA To do that, I want to involve every SBA President and ABA Representative in this circuit so as to increase awareness of ABA related matters at every school on the ground level. Also, I will need your help as member's of the ABA to encourage non-ABA members of your school to join by providing real value in being an ABA member. Many students (once myself) don't know what the ABA can offer them. I hope through my efforts (and your help) we can provide students with opportunities to enhance their law school experience by showing them the many opportunities the ABA presents them to achieve that goal.
Please help me make these goals a reality by checking this website regularly, providing me with feedback and distributing the information to students at your schools.
Feel free to contact me with any thoughts. I'm looking forward to a great year.
