Message From Your 13th Circuit Governor
Members of the 13th Circuit:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for electing me to be your 2008-2009 13th Circuit Governor. I look forward to working with the more than 2,000 members we have in the Circuit to ensure that each of you receive the best and most the ABA has to offer to enhance your legal education.
As a brief introduction, I am currently a 2L at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA but have lived in New Orleans since 1999. I am a 2003 graduate of Tulane University with a Bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology. In addition, I am a 2006 graduate of Duquesne University with a Master’s degree in public policy. After receiving my degree from Tulane, I worked as a substance abuse therapist for adolescent girls and as a grant writer/housing counselor with the Urban League of Pittsburgh. I have a broad spectrum of interests and I hope that if there is anything I can do for you or anything you want to talk about that you will not hesitate to contact me.
During my campaign for governor, I stated that I want to promote interaction and involvement between the students and the Circuit. The Circuit and the Division cannot function without our members. I encourage each of you to become involved in the Circuit: attend meetings, email me and the Lt. Governors with ideas and concerns, and make sure that your school has as much participation as possible. The Circuit is not a one way street for me, I do not want to tell you what we are doing and hope you want to participate; rather, I would like it to be a collaboration, with you telling me what you need and me doing my best to fulfill those needs.
I look forward to interacting with each of you. I am excited to begin work for the next year, and I hope to see each of you at an event in the near future.
Regards,
Amy Ingram
