LPM Members who missed the fall meeting or are interested in becoming more involved in the section – mark you calendars and plan to attend the LPM Spring Meeting in New Orleans, LA May 13-16, 2009.

Taking place October 16-18, 2008, this year’s LPM Fall Meeting was a great success in planning upcoming LPM business! As a kick off for the new fiscal year, the LPM Fall Meeting was attended by our active members who were ready to plan LPM business for the upcoming year. This year also proved beneficial to the first time attendees who eagerly involved themselves in LPM business and networking. Committee meetings successfully planned upcoming educational programming, article line-up, conference materials and selected books to be published.

The LPM Fall Meeting welcomed Myles Lynk, Peter Kiewit Foundation Professor of Law and the Legal Profession at Arizona State University, as a special guest speaker. Myles presented Choice and Opportunity – Race, Politics and the Practice of Law, which focused on the impact race and politics has on the advancements of minorities in a law firm practice.

The LPM Fall Meeting was not all business when attendees participated in an offsite jeep tour of Tucson’s surrounding mountains and foothills. Open air jeeps picked up participants from the Westin for an afternoon of Southwestern scenery and adventure!
