Combine Multiple File Types Into One Acrobat PDF

Adobe Systems, Inc.

August 2005

Are your case files overgrown with different file types – title pages, text sections, tabs, charts, and graphics? With Acrobat you can tie them all into one concise document. Convert each file type into an Adobe PDF and then simultaneously merge them into a single PDF document.

  1. Save the files you want to convert into one folder, so they are easy to locate.
  2. Open Adobe Acrobat 7.0.
  3. Choose File > Create PDF > From Multiple Files. Or click "Create PDF" and choose "From Multiple Files." Click "Add."
  4. In the File toolbar, click "Organize" and locate your converted files. Select the files and choose "Add To A Collection." When your collection is complete, select it and click "Create PDF From Multiple Files."
  5. Order the files as you want them to appear by clicking and dragging the icons. Click "OK" to convert the files. When the conversion is complete, name and save the file.
