10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Demonstration of Opening Statements (Bob Clifford, Kim Askew) (Critique leader: Ronald Marmer)
10:45 – 11:00 a.m. Break
11:00 – 12:15 p.m. Lecture on Direct Examination (Terence MacCarthy), Demonstration (Jeanne Rhee) and Critique Leader (Judd Best)
Afternoon Session

11:15 – 12:00 p.m. Lecture – The Trial Lawyer’s Ethics, Civility, and Professionalism (Edward Waller)
Afternoon Session
12:00 – 1:30 p.m. Lunch Lecture (Meet Jury Consultant JoEllan Dimitrius)
1:30 – 2:45 p.m. Lecture on Closing Argument (Judge Mark Drummond), Demonstration (Peter Ostroff and Julianne Farnsworth); Critique Leaders (Scott Mendeloff and John Mathias)

*The Honorable Marvin E. Aspen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and The Honorable Marvin J. Garbis of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland will serve as presiding Judges for the Program.
