How LAPP Works

Accepting a LAPP referral gives your firm an exciting opportunity to engage in significant pro bono litigation that in all likelihood would otherwise not be brought. LAPP firms have donated thousands of pro bono hours and millions of pro bono dollars on behalf of thousands of low-income clients and communities across the country.

Once LAPP has matched the program and the firm, they establish their own working relationship. In some situations, the firm and program will co-counsel the case; in others, the firm will become lead counsel. Sometime, the program needs only limited assistance, such as critical research or an amicus curie brief.
