Subcommittees & Task Forces

ICLC Young Lawyers Initiative

The Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee is launching its newest initiative – the Young Lawyers Subcommittee. This Subcommittee presents an opportunity for young lawyers (35 or under, or of any age but practicing less than five years) who practice in insurance coverage law to become involved at the ground-floor level of an ABA subcommittee. Membership in the Young Lawyers Subcommittee will provide young insurance coverage attorneys with a forum in which they can network with other coverage attorneys across the country. Members also will be exposed to speaking, publishing, and other business development opportunities, as well as resources calculated to develop coverage expertise through ICLC presentations such as practice tips and a CLE reference guide. The Young Lawyers Subcommittee also can serve as a gateway to becoming actively involved in other aspects of ICLC including other ICLC subcommittees, the ICLC website, our award-winning publication Coverage, and numerous CLE opportunities. Outside counsel and in-house attorneys representing both policyholders and insurance carriers are welcome.

We encourage interested candidates to jump start the process and start enjoying the substantial benefits of membership by attending the 2007 ICLC CLE Seminar in Tucson. In addition to the CLE sessions, the Young Lawyers Subcommittee will meet and new members can begin networking and exploring all that ICLC has to offer.

Please forward a link to this message to all coverage lawyers in your organization and notify the co-chairs listed below of any interested candidates as soon as possible. Those interested in joining the ICLC Young Lawyers Subcommittee may do so either by contacting the subcommittee co-chairs below, or joining at the 2007 Tucson annual meeting.

We hope to see you in Tucson!
