The Criminal Litigation Committee of the ABA Section of Litigation is pleased to announce the posting of its July 2008 Case Notes. Authored by Alexander Vesselinovitch, Jenny Louise Johnson, Thomas J. Maas, and Jeremy Kerman of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, the Case Notes include discussions of three Circuit Court cases, two District Court cases and one California Supreme Court case.  The abstracts cover a range of topics, including criminal enforcement of immigration laws; "interpositioning;" First Amendment issues; DNA testing; requests for mitigation of sentences; and substantial steps in attempt causes of action.
