This committee focuses on consumer protection and civil rights litigation, including privacy issues, First Amendment rights, and remedies for discrimination and deceptive practices. The committee monitors decisions and legislative developments in these areas and promotes educational efforts on these topics.
We launch our case notes area with analysis of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit upholding a lower court’s decision barring the New York Attorney General from investigating national banks for potential violations of New York’s fair lending laws.
