ABA Annual MeetingThe ABA Section of Litigation invites you to explore the professional learning and networking opportunities at the 2008 ABA Annual Meeting in New York City. For young lawyers and experienced litigators alike, this is the CLE event to attend this summer.


Hone your advocacy skills and earn CLE at one the Section’s top caliber programs including the opinions of the Roberts Court, tips on how to handle your first meeting with your expert, effective internal investigations strategies, the effect of the current war on freedoms of the press and individual rights, a mock class actions trial based on the opera Don Giovanni, US involvement in the International Criminal Court, international discovery, and much more. Engage in stimulating dialogue with our speakers representing the best our profession has to offer. Nationally known and recognized for their expertise, these judges and lawyers are dedicated to improving the profession and to enhancing the skills of trial advocates. Network with lawyers and judges from around the country during our committee breakfast meetings, programs, and special events. Be sure to purchase your tickets early for our events, including our elegant dinner dance at the renowned Rainbow Room.

LexisNexis Cares Drive Supports New Yorkers for Children Back to School Package Program During ABA Annual Meeting


During this year’s ABA Annual Meeting in New York, LexisNexis is partnering with ABA divisions to conduct a donation drive benefiting New Yorkers for Children , a non-profit organization that works with the Administration for Children’s Services to improve the lives of the more than 17,000 children in foster care in New York City, specifically youth aging out of the foster care system.


In past years, ABA Annual Meeting attendees have supported many worthwhile organizations during the conference by donating books, school supplies and more. Section of Litigation members can help New Yorkers for Children this year by donating any of the following suggested materials: $50 Target, Staples or Barnes and Noble Card; Backpacks; Computer Flash Drives; MLA Handbook Guide to Grammar and Research Papers; Alarm Clocks; etc.


A collection bin will be located at the Jumeirah Essex House hotel, and also at the LexisNexis expo booth at the Hilton New York.
