Dear Colleague:

Welcome to the American Bar Association's International Liaison Office (ILO). We hope that you will consider this office your first portal to the Association, a bridge and guide to the diverse programs and activities of the Association and its many entities.

One of the Association's highest priorities is ABA Goal VIII: "To Advance the Rule of Law in the World." As part of the Executive Director's Office, the ILO seeks to pursue the mandate of Goal VIII by promoting the exchange of ideas and information with our colleagues in the legal profession around the world. ILO's primary purpose is to serve as a first point of contact for foreign and international bar associations, law societies, and individual lawyers. If you are seeking information about the ABA and its programs and activities, searching for a publication, or are interested in joining the ABA as a member or an International Associate, you have come to the right place.

Your contract in the International Liaison Office is Kathleen Sullivan, ILO Director. Ms. Sullivan is extremely knowledgeable about the ABA and will be able respond to your questions or direct you to another appropriate source of information.

Thanks for visiting. We appreciate your interest in the ABA and hope you find the information contained here useful. We welcome your comments and feedback.

Sincerely,

Henry F. White, Jr.
