International Liaison Office

In 2000, the American Bar Association was honored as "Volunteer of the Year" by the International Visitors Center Chicago (IVCC) at an awards reception held in the Stock Trading Room at The Art Institute of Chicago. This award celebrates the ever-expanding international role of both the ABA and the City of Chicago. Robert Hirshon, then ABA President-Elect, accepted the award on behalf of the ABA. Macarena Tamayo-Calabrese, Director of the Latin American and Caribbean Law Initiative Council (LALIC), and Kathleen Sullivan, Director, International Liaison Office, were also present.
