Regulatory Scheme: Under the Kentucky Rules of Professional Conduct, lawyers may state that they have been certified as specialists by bona fide certifying organizations - as Rule 7.40 states, "by an organization qualifying under Peel v. Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission of Illinois." Communications referencing specialty certification must include the name of the certifying organization [Rule 7.40(3)].
