Legal Services Law Line of Vermont is a pro se assistance, legal advice hotline with a pro bono referral component which was established on January 1, 1996. Vermont Legal Aid, Inc. provides client/case screening for the program. Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP) cases are identified by Law Line staff and sent to VLP for referral. VLP referrals are based on priorities and attorney availability. VLP is the only pro bono referral program in the state and is funded by LSC.
