Statewide Direct Delivery

The Access to Justice Foundation (AJF) is a nonprofit organization that works in collaboration with seven federally-funded Legal Services programs serving the Commonwealth. AJF works closely with pro bono projects operated by Legal Services programs and the Kentucky Bar Association Donated Legal Services Committee (Committee). AJF coordinates information on changes in poverty law and furthers the involvement of the private bar in pro bono activities. AJF coordinates pro bono referrals in matters which legal services programs may no longer undertake.

The Kentucky Bar Association through its Donated Legal Services Committee and Pro Bono Development Fund, sponsors statewide pro bono meetings, provides communications materials for recruitment and awareness, sponsors an annual CLE program, provides recognition for pro bono attorneys and assisted in a symposium on the survival of Legal Services. The Committee is committed to developing and expanding the delivery of pro bono civil legal services to low income citizens around the state.
