The Kansas Bar Association (KBA) Public Services and IOLTA director reports to the KBA Legal Aid & Referral Committee. There are two main areas of involvement. The first is to work with local bar associations to encourage the development or expansion of pro bono programs and to use CLE programs to recruit lawyers. The second is a statewide Reduced Fee Plan which supplements the legal services and pro bono programs but does not kick in unless the client cannot be assisted by either of the other programs. This Plan is sponsored by the KBA.
