The Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program (IVLP) is a self-supporting program of the Idaho Law Foundation (Foundation). The program's director reports to the executive director of the Foundation and to the Foundation's Board. The mission of the IVLP is to increase the availability of legal services to the state's poor through the use of volunteer lawyers. The IVLP recruits, trains, provides technical assistance and refers cases to volunteers. The program acts as a legal safety net for the poor by providing free direct legal services. The IVLP director also staffs the IVLP Policy Council.
