If you are in an emergency situation:

• If you believe a child's safety is threatened or suspect child abuse, you can obtain information at the Child Safety Institute: Child Abuse Prevention Services website.

• For domestic violence you can call the National Domestic Violence Hotline, 1-800-799-SAFE. They will give you the number for legal services in your area - generally either a shelter with a legal clinic or Legal Aid. There is also helpful information at ABA Commission on Domestic Violence website

• For elder abuse, the National Center on Elder Abuse maintains a listing of State Hotlines
