Description: Northern Virginia Community College's paralegal studies program offers undergraduate students both a broad two year general education in liberal arts and specialized legal education. The curriculum includes eleven legal specialty courses, which balance study and critical analysis of substantive law with development of practical paralegal skills. College graduates are exempt from the general education requirements, and can earn their degrees after completing the eleven legal courses. Practical experience is offered through supervised pro bono clinics and volunteer internships. Placement assistance and career counseling are available. A full range of day and evening courses is offered each semester.
