Description: The Associate in Applied Science Paralegal Degree

Description: Nassau Community College offers two types of ABA approved programs - an AAS Degree and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies. Description: Syracuse University's program was
founded in 1979 by University College, in cooperation with the
judiciary and the New York State and County Bar Assocations. The
program has been approved by the American Bar Association since
1983. Designed for adults seeking employment in a legal setting,
the Programs develop competencies in both substantive and procedural
law and foster the development of skills in legal research and
writing, drafting of legal documents, interaction with clients,
legal administration, and legal ethics. The program includes coursework
in such areas as litigation, commercial law, real estate, business
