Description: The Paralegal Studies program offers students training and skills in preparing legal reports and documents, legal correspondence, legal research, drafting letters, questions for interrogatories, legal memoranda, briefs, pleadings, contracts, wills, and deeds. In addition, students receive training in Microsoft Excel and Word. Students are prepared for employment as legal office assistants, or managers, or as paralegals in either the public or private sector. The goal of the Paralegal Studies program is to prepare graduates for entry level paralegal positions to be employed by a lawyer, law office, corporation, government agency, or other entity and to perform specialized delegated, substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible. The program also gives graduates the general education necessary to manage interpersonal and social situations by preparing them to advance in professional and personal life as well as to adapt to changes in the legal environment. The Paralegal Studies program at Daymar College is approved by the American Bar Association.

Description: Founded in 1976, the program was approved by the
ABA in 1980. EKU offers both a BA (4 yr) and AA (2 yr) degree.
Courses are offered days and evenings and are taught by attorneys.
All majors complete an internship in a law office. The program
is a charter member of the American Association for Paralegal
Education and the Lambda Epsilon Chi paralegal honor society.
It has an active Student Paralegal Assocaition. Graduates work
as paralegals and law-related professionals, and can go on to
law schools and various graduate schools.

Description: The Institute for Legal Studies at Sullivan University
offers programs of study that lead to challenging and rewarding
careers as paralegals. All Legal Studies courses are taught by
attorneys and others who not only understand the complexities
of the law, but also instruct students on the practical skills
