Description: The AUM Justice and Public Safety Department has offered an American Bar Association-approved Paralegal Certificate program for nearly 20 years. The objective of each program is to produce extremely competent and well-rounded individuals who have excellent preparation for careers as paralegals/legal assistants; court or other judicial administrators; and/or for admission to law school. The three options for earning a Paralegal Certificate in the ABA-approved program are: a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice and Public Safety--Legal Studies track (4 years/120 semester hours); a Master of Science in Justice and Public Safety--Judicial Administration Option (2 years/30 semester hours); an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate program in conjunction with AUM's School of Continuing Education, available to students who have already completed 30 semester hours of general college credit (10 courses). Program graduates are employed in law firms, courts, government agencies, public and private agencies, corporations, financial institutions, insurance companies, title companies, and real estate offices.
