  2010 Louis M. Brown Awards Presented at ABA Midyear Meeting
The Standing Committee on the Delivery of Legal Services has selected the CUNY School of Law’s Community Legal Resource Network to receive the 2010 Louis M. Brown Award for Legal Access. Two additional nominees received recognition: Richard Granat received the Lifetime Achievement Award and Illinois Legal Aid Online received meritorious recognition. The Awards were presented at the joint luncheon of the NCPB and NABE at the Midyear Meeting on February 5th.

  FDIC Extends Rule Affecting Insurance on IOLTA Accounts
On September 1, 2009, the FDIC amended the Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program (TLGP) and extended the Transaction Account Guarantee Program (TAG) for six months, until June 30, 2010. Under the final Rule, funds in IOLTA accounts will continue to be fully guaranteed by the FDIC, without limit, for participating financial institutions. Read more...
