Hulett H. (Bucky) Askew
|
Oversees all aspects of the Section. The Consultant reports to the Council and with the ABA Executive Director regarding all accreditation matters and is responsible for assuring that the legal requirements relating to the substance and process of law school accreditation are followed. The Consultant is a national leader in fostering quality in legal education and represents the Association before the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education. |

Dan J. Freehling |
Also supports the officers and Council of the Section of Legal Education and many volunteer committees and projects. Also identifies, recruits and inspires volunteers to participate in the accreditation process and ensures that site evaluation teams are properly trained to conduct effective site visits and prepare inspection reports in accordance with established standards. |

Focuses primarily on accreditation activities. Working in collaboration with the Consultant, Deputy Consultant, and the Executive Assistant for Accreditation, assists in recruiting and training site evaluation teams, assisting site teams in preparing for their visits, reviewing site evaluation reports and assisting the Accreditation Committee in its work. Part of the Associate Consultant's work also focuses on the evaluation of foreign programs and assisting in the staffing of various committees of the Section. |

Undertakes effective review of annual questionnaires submitted by foreign programs to identify problems of non-compliance with the Criteria for Foreign Programs for referral to the Accreditation Committee. Performs a review of Annual Questionnaire data from fully approved schools to assist in identifying potential compliance concerns for possible referral to the Accreditation Committee and provides regular and effective staff support to many of the non-Accreditation Project committees of the Section. |

Provides management and substantive support to the Section’s key areas: committee administration; publications planning and production; meeting planning; financial management, budget monitoring; and membership development. |

Provides general administrative and clerical support to the Consultant, the Officers of the Council and the Council members. |

Works in conjunction with the Consultant by managing and administering all activities of the Accreditation Project and is the principal staff member for the Accreditation committee. |

|
Administers the Annual Questionnaire of all ABA approved law schools and produces statistical reports based on the data from the questionnaire. |

Responsible for coordinating, planning and managing all Section substantive meetings including those of committees in addition to providing primary support for production and marketing of all Section publications and meeting materials. |

Mary McNulty |
Responsible for the print and electronic publication development of the Section and implements the Section’s long-range technology plans, including but not limited to Web site development and maintenance. Editor of Syllabus newsletter. |

Stephanie Kevil |
This position interacts with the 194 ABA-approved law schools, affiliated legal organizations, and many individuals including university presidents and administrators, judges, lawyers, law school deans, faculty, and Section officers. This position reports to the Executive Assistant for Accreditation and also works closely with the senior leadership of the office. |

The position provides critical support for the work of the Deputy and Associate Consultants and the Executive Assistant for Accreditation. The position provides primary support for the Foreign Programs and Non-J.D. subcommittees of the Accreditation Committee, and also responsible for receiving and processing site evaluation reports. |

This position provides critical support for the work of the Deputy and Associate Consultants in the preparation of site evaluation teams and in the conduct of site evaluation workshops, and in providing support for Section committees, particularly the Standards Review and Bar Admissions Committees, and for conferences and workshops sponsored by the Section. |

Holmes |
The Receptionist is a primary representative of the Office of the Consultant on Legal Education and to the Section dealing directly with public inquiries regarding law school admissions and accreditation. Works with all Section staff providing clerical support including deans and committee mailings. |
