Airport Transfers
One of the most convenient ways to get from Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport is by train (one way fare is €9.50). Known as the “Leonardo Express,” this train runs nonstop from Fiumicino Airport to Stazione Termini every half hour (6:37 am – 11:37 am). The trip takes approximately 35 minutes. It is recommended that you use only authorized taxis (white vehicles with a taximeter) available at the arrival areas of each terminal. The fare applied by the taxi drivers of Fiumicino is €60 euro, inclusive of luggage, for a maximum of four passengers, for all destinations within the Aurelian Walls of Rome.

Climate
The average temperature in Rome in May is 73˚/55˚ (22˚/12˚ Celsius). For the latest weather updates, visit www.weather.com.

Gratuities
Tipping is generally expected at restaurants, bars and cafes, as well as in taxis. In restaurants where service is not included, it is customary to add a 10% tip for a full meal; leave a few coins in bars or cafés.

Currency
Italy has adopted the Euro, which, at the time of this printing, is equivalent to approximately $1.28 USD or $1.44 CAD. Visa, EuroCard and MasterCard are accepted a bit more widely than American Express and Diners Club, although many shops and restaurants refuse to accept any credit cards at all.
