We are pleased to provide you with this invitation to register for the 2009 ABA National Conference on Equal Employment Opportunity Law, which we are confident, will be the most outstanding program on EEO law that will be presented in the coming year. The National Conference on Equal Employment Opportunity Law is presented by the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law Equal Employment Opportunity Committee. This year the Conference will feature additional programs by the Section's Immigration Law Committee.
This program provides an unparalleled opportunity to focus on both trial practice issues and current legal and policy developments relating to equal employment opportunity and related workplace claims. The program will address issues and concerns from the perspective of plaintiff, management, union and government counsel. We are pleased to offer the following details:
Meeting Registration
The Conference registration fee is $525 per person for Section of Labor & Employment Law members and $625 for non-Section members. A discounted registration fee of $425 is available for "Early Bird" registration (prior to January 19, 2009). First-Time Attendees may register at the discounted rate of $395. Law Students, Government Agency and Non-Profit Employees may register for $275. The registration fees cover the Wednesday Welcome Reception, Thursday Cocktail Supper and Friday Networking Reception, as well as all meeting materials, continental breakfasts and refreshment breaks during the meeting. The guest/partner/spouse registration fee of $125 ($50 for children 12-18) includes the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening events.
You are encouraged to register online or you may register by completing the registration form and returning it with your payment and appropriate fees to Lynette Kelley, Meetings Registrar, Section of Labor and Employment Law, American Bar Association, 321 N. Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60654 by March 25, 2009. Refunds, less a $50 administrative fee, will be made on registration cancellations received in writing before March 25, 2009.
Hotel Accommodations
We have negotiated a special group rate at the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes of $299 plus taxes for single or double occupancy rooms. To reserve your room, call the hotel directly at 407-206-2400 or 800-576-5760. To receive the group rate, reference the "ABA 2009 National Conference on EEO Law" The group rate will be honored until March 2, 2009 or until the room block is exhausted. You must cancel your reservation 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date to avoid a one-night cancellation charge. Rooms will be available for check-in no later than 4:00 pm, with a checkout time of 11:00 am.
Airline Discounts
The ABA has contracted with American Airlines to provide discounted airfares. Contact American Airlines at 800-433-1790 and reference Discount Code 20348 to obtain the airline discount. Please note that this discount is not available via the airline website.
Ground Transportation
The Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes is located approximately 10 miles from Orlando International Airport (MCO). Taxicab service to the hotel is available.
CLE Credit
Required sponsor documentation will be forwarded to and credit requested from MCLE states with general requirements for all lawyers. Each state determines the number of hours to be credited for attendance. Uniform Certificates of Attendance will be available at the meeting.
