Dear Colleague:
The 2008 Midwinter Meeting of the Railway and Airline Labor Law Committee will be held at the Casa Marina Resort in Key West, Florida, from March 12 to 14. We have planned an interactive and informative agenda where we expect attendance from most of the Railway Labor Act bar and members and staff of the National Mediation Board. We hope that you will be able to attend and are pleased to offer you the following details.
Meetings and Social Events
Our program will begin with a Welcome Reception on Wednesday, March 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the Casa Marina Resort. Our general sessions will be held on Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with a continental breakfast each day beginning at 7:00 a.m.
Our annual Reception and Dinner Party will be held on Thursday, March 13 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The cost of the reception and dinner is included in the registration fees for meeting attendees and spouses/guests.
CLE Credit
Required sponsor documentation will be forwarded to and credit requested from MCLE states with general requirements for all lawyers. Each state determines the number of hours to be credited for attendance. Certificates of Attendance will be available at the meeting.
Hotel Accommodations and Reservations
We have negotiated a special group rates at the Casa Marina Resort & Beach Club of $299 for Standard rooms and $349 for Ocean View rooms (single or double occupancy). In addition, a resort fee of $20 per room per night, which includes wireless Internet access, bellman and housekeeping gratuities, will be added to your bill upon check-out. The group rates will be honored three days prior and three days after the official meeting dates, based on availability.
To receive the group rates, reference the “ABA Railway & Airline Labor Law Committee Midwinter Meeting.” The group rates will be honored until February 11, 2008 or until the room block is exhausted. If necessary, you must cancel your reservation 24 hours prior to your scheduled day of arrival to avoid a one-night cancellation charge. Rooms will be available for check-in no later than 3:00 pm, with a checkout time of 12:00 pm.
Airline Discounts
The ABA has contracted with American Airlines to provide discounted and zone fares. Information on airfare discounts is available at www.abanet.org/travel.
Ground Transportation
The Casa Marina Resort is located 10 miles from Key West Airport (EYW), which offers jet service from US Airways, Independence Air, Delta, Continental, Northwest Airlines and United Express.

Meeting Registration
The registration fee for the 2008 Midwinter Meeting is $250 for Section of Labor & Employment Law members and $325 for non-Section members. We also are offering a special government agency rate of $195. The registration fees cover all meeting materials, continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks during the meeting and your attendance at the Welcome Reception and the Thursday Reception and Dinner Party. The guest/spouse registration fee is $150 and includes the Welcome Reception and the Thursday Dinner Party.
You are encouraged to register online. You also may register by completing the enclosed registration form and returning it with appropriate fees to Chrishelle Thomas, Meetings Registrar, American Bar Association, 321 N. Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60610 by February 22, 2008. Refunds, less a $50 administrative fee, will be made on registration cancellations received in writing before February 22.
