Directory of Minority Judges of the United States
In 1992, the Standing Committee proudly announced the compilation of the first and most comprehensive Minority Judges directory ever created. Are you a judge of color? The Standing Committee is constantly revising and updating the Directory of Minority Judges of the United States to include new judges, record changes and to remove those who have passed on. If you are an African-American, Asian-Pacific Island, Hispanic/Latino or Native American Judge, we would like to ensure that you are properly listed in the directory database. Please take a few moments and complete the online questionnaire.
Judicial Mentor Program
The Judicial Mentor Program (JMP) works to attain greater diversity in the judiciary by encouraging minority lawyers to seek and achieve judicial office. The program pairs interested lawyers with judges in the area of the judiciary to which they aspire. The Committee works closely with the Standing Committee on Minorities in the Judiciary and is responsible for publicizing the JMP, soliciting lawyers and judges to participate, matching the participants and engaging in follow-up and program evaluation.
